About Us

History

With operations dating back to 1996, Morrell International was the primary support and service provider to more than 16,000 people during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. As part of this effort, the company provided housing to 6,000-plus members of the U.S. National Guard tasked with providing supplemental security. In accordance with the contract terms, Morrell completed the barracks build-out in just 34 days, achieving a timeline others dismissed as impossible.

Morrell International subsequently fulfilled eight contracts to build and operate dining facilities on behalf of the U.S. military in Iraq, serving as many as 3 million meals per month. The company also completed multiple construction contracts in Iraq and operated a crushed limestone facility at Al Asad Airbase. Morrell International built and continues to operate six water bottling facilities on U.S. bases in Iraq, acting as the sole supplier of bottled water to U.S. service personnel.

Locations

Morrell International has grown and flourished by operating successfully in some of the world’s most challenging environments, often on highly compressed timelines. Since 2003, the company has built a long track record of success in Iraq, implementing complete solutions for the US Army.

In addition to Iraq, Morrell International and its leadership team have helped meet the needs of organizations in Sydney, Australia, eastern Turkey, earthquake-ravaged Haiti and the U.S. Gulf Coast in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Headquartered outside Salt Lake City, Morrell International has offices in Washington, DC, Baghdad, Iraq, and Jabriya, Kuwait.

Conduct

The success of Morrell International has been built on a foundation of timeless ethics and values: integrity, trust and reliability. Company leaders believe that our word is our bond and that a contract signed is a contract met, if not exceeded. Organizations and individuals working with Morrell International are also held to the highest standards of ethics and transparency.

Contributions

The people and leaders of Morrell International are committed to making a positive difference in the communities where we operate and in the lives of people we serve and partner with, including customers, employees, suppliers and neighbors.

In Iraq, the Morrell Foundation developed and sponsored Employ Iraq, a nonprofit jobs initiative that employed hundreds of Iraqi workers in the renovation of more than a dozen schools. The company has also been committed to hiring local workers and partnering with local vendors and suppliers, consistent with contractual security requirements.

In addition, Morrell International has initiated multiple humanitarian efforts around the world, from Ethiopia to post-earthquake Haiti to the hurricane-ravaged U.S. Gulf Coast.
